Thread through the "max" fraction of the token that we have, and remove the
persistence modality around the lifetime-end view shift so that it can
implicitly own enough tokens to combine with that "max" fraction to end the
lifetime. The advantage is that ending the lifetime only needs the whole token
for *one* of the involved intersected lifetimes.
